In an interview conducted by Heavy.com Mike Wessel discusses Kimbo, TUF, and Rampage's coaching style (or lack of it). He talks about Kimbo's expressed eagerness to learn the ground game, but mentions that Kimbo's last Jiu-Jitsu training session was three weeks prior to the taping of TUF.
If Kimbo really wants to succeed as an MMA fighter, and Icey Mike wants him to succeed as an MMA fighter, then who is to blame for Kimbo's lack of training? Is Icey Mike a poor manager, or does Kimbo simply do what he wants as Bas Rutten has claimed in the past?
In the interview Wessel also claims that Kimbo himself told them he pulled a gun on someone who submitted him with an arm bar during practice at the American Top Team training facility.
